Programme NOVE-IT

Led by the FSUIT, the NOVE-IT programme to completely reorganise the Federal Administration's information and communication technologies (ICT) was launched in 1997 and fully implemented by the end of 2003.
The objectives of NOVE-IT were to establish ICT as a management resource to improve quality and flexibility and to raise efficiency by 23% or 130 million Swiss francs a year. These objectives were largely met, thanks to investments totalling some 210 million Swiss francs. In particular, efficiency was improved to such an extent that investments were already flowing back during the programme.
