Am 1. Januar 2012 ist die revidierte Bundesinformatikverordnung (BinfV) in Kraft getreten. Die BinfV regelt die Organisation der Bundesinformatik.
Mit der Totalrevision der BinfV ändern sich Aufgaben, Kompetenzen, Verantwortungen und Zusammensetzungen der IKT-Gremien. Dies gilt auch für den IRB. Die daraus resultierenden Änderungen (z.B. Statuten etc.) werden durch das ISB im Verlaufe des Jahres 2012 schrittweise eingeleitet oder umgesetzt. 

Tasks

The FITC is the consultative body for the FITSU on ICT business requiring consultation with the departments and the Federal Chancellery, especially for the issuing of specifications and the approval of exceptions concerning compliance with such specifications.

Composition

The Federal IT Council (FITC) is composed of the Delegate for ICT Steering and one named representative of each department and the Federal Chancellery. The Delegate chairs the FITC.

In an advisory capacity, one representative each of the Federal Finance Administration (FFA), the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), the internal service providers and the Parliamentary Services may participate. From case to case, other persons may be consulted on an advisory basis.
