TOGAF - Architecture method

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) is a free and public architecture method of the Open Group, supporting comprehensive enterprise architecture development.

Enterprise architecture is an important issue within the Federal Administration. Initiatives, projects, and changes are being undertaken by many offices which have an impact on the enterprise architecture and should be coordinated and channelled. In order to define a basis for all work within the framework of the federal architecture, the Federal IT Council (FITC) standardised TOGAF in October 2006 as a methodology throughout the Federal Administration (Standard P030).
