Continuous business process management (CBPM)

Continuous business process management (CBPM) optimises the processes and helps raise the level of efficiency and effectiveness.

Continuous business process management is based on managerial concepts for the development and constant improvement of process-oriented organisations. Responsibility for the improvement and development of IT processes is specified. Process owners and those responsible for processes are appointed in all departments.

The IT processes are continually improved on the basis of experience, new requirements or suggestions in accordance with process P08 (Process Management). The process improvements are combined to form process releases.

The Federal Process Committee is the coordination and monitoring unit for continuous business process management in ICT. It operates on behalf of the Federal IT Steering Unit (FITSU). A new process release is developed and published each year.
