The Federal IT Steering Unit (FITSU) ensures implementation of the information and communication technologies (ICT) strategy in the Federal Administration. For this purpose, it issues guidelines for the administrative units and manages the ICT standard services. The FITSU also manages the eGovernment Switzerland Programme Office as well as the Reporting and Analysis Centre for Information Assurance (MELANI).

Federal Council adopts Switzerland's eGovernment Strategy 2020-2023

20.11.2019 - At its meeting, the Federal Council adopted the Swiss eGovernment Strategy 2020-2023. Its implementation should make the digital channel the first choice for contacting the public administration. The Conference of Cantonal Governments and the executive boards of the Association of Towns and Municipalities will give their views on the strategy presented in December.




Encryption Trojans still on the rise

29.10.2019 - The 29th semi-annual report of the Reporting and Analysis Centre for Information Assurance (MELANI) addresses the most important cyberincidents of the first half of 2019 both in Switzerland and abroad. The main focus of the current report is cyberattacks with encryption Trojans, which caused considerable damage worldwide during the first half of the year.

Implementation status of the Federal ICT strategy

22.03.2019 -  The Federal Council has taken note of the strategic ICT controlling report as at 31 December 2018. The report provides information on the current implementation status of the federal ICT Strategy 2016-2019. The Federal Council has also adopted the ICT Master plan 2019 and defined the current ICT key projects.
