V001 - Ordinance on Information Technology and Telecommunications in the Federal Administration(Federal IT Ordinance, FITO)

This Ordinance governs the tasks and responsibilities relating to the steering and management of the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the Federal Administration.

On 9 December 2011 the Federal Council ratified the totally revised version of the Federal Information Technology Ordinance. The Federal Council has overall strategic responsibility for ensuring the implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT) within the Federal Administration. It makes decisions on the Administration's ICT strategy, strengthens strategic controlling and centrally manages the ICT standard services for the entire Federal Administration.
