Cloud Computing

The term «cloud computing» describes the practice of using a network to make ICT services (e.g. applications, computing power or storage capacity) available dynamically and in line with needs.

Cloud computing strategy

The Swiss authorities' cloud computing strategy for 2012 to 2020 is a result of the prioritised project B1.06 – eGovernment Architecture Switzerland for implementing the eGovernment Strategy Switzerland. It was drawn up together with experts from the Confederation, the cantons, the communes, enterprises affiliated with the Confederation and the private sector, and was adopted by the eGovernment Steering Committee on 25 October 2012.
